Week 2: Time to Prepare!
Welcome to week 2 of the 2021 Pega Community Hackathon!
This week is all about preparation. The Prepare phase of the Pega Express Delivery Approach starts with a project kick off meeting, where the team understands the vision, desired outcomes and plan. From here the team will work to further understand the Microjourneys™ that form the initial Minimum Lovable Product (MLP.)
During Prepare you will use Pega’s configuration tools e.g. App Studio or Next Best Action Designer to capture or refine your Microjourneys. You will use the Directly Capture Objectives (DCO) discipline to capture outcomes and user stories directly into Pega.
Prepare is a highly collaborative exercise which caters for all project sizes; it can last as little as a few days to three weeks for larger projects. A consistent success factor is having strong and dedicated business representation throughout Prepare and Build.
Have you have your kick-off meeting with your team yet? Do you have a clear vision of your minimum lovable product? Have you started work in App Studio to directly capture your objectives? (remember that directly capturing objectives in App Studio is actually starting to build your project!) This is your week to get that done.
